How a Rimax Wheel Is Made: Ingot to Export Pallet

Understanding the process helps you compare suppliers on facts, not photos. These are the eight stages every Rimax cast wheel passes through before it is cleared for shipment.

  1. 01

    Melting & Degassing

A356.2 aluminum ingots are melted, refined and degassed to minimize hydrogen porosity before casting.

  2. 02

    Low-Pressure Casting

Molten alloy fills the mold from below under controlled pressure, producing dense, uniform spokes and rim flanges.

  3. 03

    X-Ray Inspection

Radiographic checks reveal internal shrinkage or porosity in critical zones such as the hub pad and spoke roots.

  4. 04

    T6 Heat Treatment

Solution treatment, quenching and artificial aging raise tensile and yield strength for long-term fatigue life.

  5. 05

    CNC Machining

Hub face, bolt holes, center bore and bead seats are machined to tight tolerances for true running and balance.

  6. 06

    Surface Finishing

Pre-treatment, powder primer, color and clear coats, with diamond-cut, brushed, polished or chrome options.

  7. 07

    Performance Testing

Radial fatigue, cornering fatigue, 13° impact and air-leak tests are carried out following JWL / VIA test items.

  8. 08

    Packing & Export

Cartons, foam protection and palletizing with your branding, prepared for FCL or LCL shipment worldwide.

Quality Assured

Tested to Global Wheel Standards

Strength you cannot see is the part that matters most. Our quality system combines material control, in-line inspection and destructive testing so importers can register and sell with confidence.
